the philosophy
My path to becoming a Yoga, Massage and whole-health Practitioner began with a deep curiosity about what it truly means to grow, learn and experience life’s challenges in a supportive manner.
Growing up in South Africa, dance was my first love. From an early age, I discovered how profoundly our breath, movement, and environment can influence our wellbeing. This sparked a lifelong exploration into the body’s remarkable ability to hold and release everything we have experienced, from the moment of conception through every stage of life.
During early adulthood, I completed over 500 hours of teacher training in yoga while living in Vancouver, Canada, and Rishikesh, India. In Thailand, I became certified in Traditional Thai Massage and Thai Reflexology.
Returning to South Africa, I continued expanding my practice by becoming a Certified Veltheim Lymphatic Drainage Practitioner. Together, these modalities brought everything into alignment, allowing me to support each of my clients along their own personal life journey.
Living and raising a family across South Africa, Canada, and the Middle East has given me a deep appreciation for the many ways that health and wellness adapt throughout life. Every culture, every season, and every stage of life offer its own lessons, reinforcing my belief that true wellbeing comes from honouring the unique journey of everyone.
Motherhood, relationships, and life itself have been my greatest teachers. They have continually shaped my understanding of what it means to cultivate balance, resilience, compassion, and presence in the human experience.
Each experience and session at SOMA is private, safe, deeply respectful – a space free from judgement, where you are met with compassion, presence, and support.
